METACity = MetaCity
The MetaCity Concept and the Municipalities Electronic Trade Assurance City concept, are two ideas integrated into a single plan to enable every business person to use the power of computers and communications to work with their local government as part of a global strategy to uplift human society.
The MetaCity Concept is about why the city is the source of real power and creativity in human civilization and how that power can be utilized to generate double digit growth in communities everywhere that choose to participate.
Computers and communications are the key to this actualizing this concept. The Internet provides ample tools for organizing and informing people, but a specialized capability to focus transactions toward accomplishing these goals is needed. The META•City Program is an effort to focus the abilities of universities worldwide on open source programming that enables individuals to participate.
Combining the ability of the Internet to enable discussion and network computers provides the basis of actualizing the MetaCity Concept. |
